ABSTRACT
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo en sistemas y servicios de salud, de Julio del 2002 a Septiembre de 2003, donde se recogió el criterio que tienen los médicos de familia sobre el ingreso domiciliario en el Área Norte del municipio Ciego de Ávila. El universo estuvo constituido por todos los médicos de familia que atienden población. Se realizó una encuesta validada por expertos. Los resultados fueron: en la hoja de cargo no se reportaron la totalidad de los ingresos domiciliarios; los médicos refieren que no siempre cuentan con los recursos y el tiempo necesarios para atender a sus pacientes ingresados; los profesores del Grupo Básico de Trabajo no interconsultaron a la mayoría de los casos; el ingreso domiciliario tiene buena aceptación por los pacientes. Los médicos en su mayoría se mostraron satisfechos con los resultados del ingreso domiciliario, por lo que se concluye que existe un gran desconocimiento de la metodología por parte de los médicos de familia del Área Norte de Ciego de Ávila.
A descriptive study was done in health services and systems, from July 2002 to September 2003, where we knew the criterion that family doctors have on home admission in the North Area of Ciego de Ávila. The universe of study was constituted by all the family physicians that take care of this population. A survey, validated by experts, was carried out. The results were: In the progress notes the totality of home admissions was not reported; doctors refer that not always they count on the resources and the time necessary to take care of the patients admitted; the professors of the Basic Group of Work did not interconsult to the majority of the cases; home admission has good acceptance by patients. The majority of doctors were satisfied with the results of home admissions, reason why it is concluded that there is a great ignorance of its methodology on the part of the family doctors of the North Area of Ciego de Ávila.
